Connecting People with Nature
ReWild Gower CIC exists to make nature connection accessible to everyone in our community while restoring and enhancing habitats for local wildlife. We believe that when people connect deeply with the natural world, they nurture not only their own wellbeing but also the health of the environment around them.
We work both practically and therapeutically, offering a diverse range of nature-based experiences — from holistic retreats and rites of passage ceremonies to therapeutic interventions for school-aged children, college students, and adults. We also provide environmental education and forest school programmes for local schools, helping young people develop ecological awareness, confidence, and a sense of belonging in nature.
At ReWild Gower, accessibility and inclusivity are at the heart of everything we do. We meet people where they are, recognising that connecting with nature — and with oneself — looks different for everyone.
For college students, this might mean learning traditional woodland skills such as coppicing hazel and crafting with simple hand tools — reconnecting with ancestral knowledge and the satisfaction of working with their hands. For young children, it could be singing songs of gratitude to the trees, exploring wild spaces, and discovering the joy of imaginative play inspired by the woodland. For adults on retreat, it may involve inner reflection and spiritual growth, learning to listen to the wisdom of the natural world through meditative practice.
Whatever form it takes, nature connection supports holistic health — mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual.
ReWild Gower CIC is here to ensure that everyone, regardless of age, ability, or background, can experience the healing, empowering, and life-affirming benefits of the natural world.
